Zunheboto, September 30 (MExN): The District Administration with the Town Council and Swachh Bharat Mission Zunheboto observed Swachhata Hi Seva campaign by organizing painting and essay competition at Cornerstone School for various schools in the district.
In the essay competition, Avibo, Olympic Higher Secondary School (OHSS) secured first position while Shelito, Love Dale Higher Secondary School secured second and Ajin C Sekhar secured third.
In the painting competition senior category Awotoli, OHSS, Thiliho, OHSS and Toshika, Cornerstone secured first, second and third respectively.
In the junior category, Imsanenla OHSS, Anguvili of OHSS and Jemima of New Era secured first, second and third respectively. The prizes will be given away on October 2 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference hall.
Earlier in the day, Tavinto K. Sumi, Brand Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission Zunheboto spoke on Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and Swachh Bharat Mission by urging the students and teachers present to join the people’s movement as India prepares to become clean and open defecation free by October 2, 2019 which also marks 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
