Dimapur, February 19 (DIPR): Members from the Church of Revelation organised a symbolic washing feet and hands ceremony for the Pastors and their wives cutting across all denominations at Dimapur Ao Baptist Church on February 19 marking the end of their more than a week ministry in Nagaland.
“We want to give you honour through the washing ceremony... As Jesus served the people 2000 years ago by washing the feet of His disciples we also want to serve and it is our honour to serve you," said Sherley one of the team member from the church of Revelation.
The team members from the New York church prayed and washed the hands and feet of all the Pastors and their wives and other members present. They also displayed their generous gesture by extending gifts to all the members present during the washing ceremony. Another member of the team John expressed that the humbleness displayed by the Nagas was amazing. He also remarked that many Nagas are committed to God.
Also sharing her observation on the Naga people, Dennis termed the hospitality of the Naga people as unbelievable and described the Nagas as friendly and warm people. Almost all the members of the team expressed their desire to visit Nagaland again.
Rev Moses, administrator Bethesda school observed that this was the first time in the history of Dimapur where all the denominations were brought under one umbrella through the ministry of the church of Revelation New York.
The team headed by Diana Adour will leave Nagaland tomorrow for Kolkata after which they will fly to Dubai for a prayer walk before heading home.
