The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) Open House 2.0 was launched here today by Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Nagaland.
During the launching programme, a Column PA speaker, microphone and mic stand were given to the four new district partners from Niuland, Chumoukedima, Shamator and Tseminyu. TaFMA Open House is a concept to promote musicians across Nagaland. Music and arts activities shall be held monthly in all the district headquarters from the month of June.
Metha, who is also the chairman of Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) said “In music and art, there is no reservation, no quota or no backdoor. Here, it is only meritocracy. It is only your talent, hard work and capacity that will take you to the top.”
Stating that “good is not good enough,” he said that the government is aim at taking Nagaland towards a “state of excellence. In this, he also called upon the people to work hard to excel in their respective fields.
Metha also called upon TaFMA district partners to work hard and rise from district to the state, to the country and even go international. Further, he advised the people to stop complaining but get involved and learn to appreciate the many positive things that are happening in the state.
TaFMA chairman Theja Meru and TaFMA Project Director Dr Hovithal Sothu were also present at the launching programme.
