TaFMA Wokha in collaboration with Fernbrook School Wokha celebrated World Music Day at the school’s multipurpose hall on June 21.
The event began with prayer led by the School Chaplain, followed by welcome address from the Headmistress. The programme was attended by students and teachers.
Delivering the speech, Rushamo Tsopoe School Administrator highlighted the importance of music in education and life. He shared the school’s vision in nurturing music talents, including the recent formation of the School Pipe Band.
Mhademo Ennio, District Promoter of TaFMA assured continued collaboration and support from TaFMA in nurturing young talents in the district.
In the musical segment, Khonzani T Ovung, winner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Solo Competition, Mharoni L Kikon (both class 10) and Nchumbemo Yanthan, a TaFMA-curated country singer and academic topper performed songs. The programme concluded with duet by twin sisters Mying and Mer Tsopoe.
