  • Pakistan again violates ceasefire on LoC in Poonch district
    Jammu, October 24 (IANS): Violating the ceasfire agreement, Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday in J&K's Poonch district. At about 6.30 p.m. on Saturday Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the LoC in Degwar sector of Poonch district, said defence ministry spokesman Colonel Devender Anand. The spokesman said Indian army retaliated befittingly.

    Srinagar, August 7 (IANS): Six civilians were injured in Pakistani shelling along the LoC in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday, officials said. According to reports, Pakistan resorted to shelling in Tangdhar and Rangward injuring three civilians in each of the two sectors.     Srinagar, June 20 (IANS): Three civilians were injured on Saturday in Pakistan shelling on the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Uri sector.   Police sources said three civilians, including a woman, were injured in Pakistan shelling in Nambla village of Uri sector on Saturday.   "The injured civilians have been shifted to hospital. Efforts are on to shift the villagers to a safer place away from the line of enemy shelling", sources said.
