TAJCF threaten indefinite bandh

Dimapur, March 13 (MExN): The Tuli Area Joint Council Forum has informed that it will call for an indefinite strike in Tuli area from March 25, if the State Government does not respond positively to the memos submitted to Chief Minister and others regarding the revival package for Nagaland Pulp & Paper Company Ltd. (NPPCL) or Tuli Paper Mill.

  In a press note, the TAJCF President O Benjung Jamir informed that during its meeting held on February 17, the council had resolved to write to the Chief Minister and other concerned officials to take a decision regarding the revival plan of the mill within 30 days.   Stating that till now, the state government has not given any response to its letters, the Council said that if there is no positive response by March 24 (on which the 30 days period end), it will impose infinite strike from March 25 within Tuli jurisdiction.
