‘Take blood donation awareness to villages’ - Jalukie Councillor

Peren, June 15 (MExN): Peren District observed World Blood Donors Day under the theme “give blood, give hope: together we save lives!” at CMTC Hall Jalukie Town on June 14. The programme was jointly organised by Peren District Voluntary Blood Donors Association and Indian Red Cross Society, Jalukie Sub branch, supported by Nagaland State Blood Transfusion Council. 

Namdatbou, Councillor, Jalukie Town Council graced the programme as special guest. Speaking on the occasion he thanked the voluntary blood donors for saving lives and doing commendable works for the cause of our society. He also encouraged the Peren District Voluntary Blood Donors Association and the Indian Red Cross Society to disseminate information about blood donation and blood safety upto the village level. 

Dr Hedungkiebe, SMO, DH, Peren and Chairman IRCS (N) Jalukie Sub Division Branch shared on the topic of Basic Blood Science and Dr Ramheigum, MO, FIARTC CHC, Jalukie spoke on the importance of Blood donation.

Rev Fr Francis, Principal St Xavier College Jalukie encourage the students for taking a bold step to donate blood and saving lives. He urged the attendees that we need to keep our body safe for donation by not involving or practicing in High-Risk Behaviours. 

Imtilong Morgro, Associate Pastor, Youth, Ao Baptist Arogo pronounced the invocation. Wisanbo, presented a special no. dedicated to all the Heroes who have donated Blood to save others life. Obituary in tribute to Late Ngauzeulungbe, President of PDVBDA was also observed. The moderator for the programme was Rovikhoto Mor, DPO, DISHA Peren and vote of thanks was given by Pauheugau, Program Asst, DISHA. 

Members from IRCS Jalukie Sub branch, Councillor, Jalukie Town Council, students of St Xavier College Jalukie Town and Baptist Hr Sec School, Jalukie B, ICTC Councillor CHC, Jalukie and Mobile ICTC staffs were the attendees for the programme.
