Talk on climate change

  KOHIMA, December 16 (MExN): A talk on climate change by Dr. Robert Mizo, Environmentalist & Asst. Professor, Kamala Nehru College, University of Delhi, will be held on December 19 (Monday) at 12:00 pm at D/Cafe in Jail Colony, Kohima. The talk is being organised by PenThrill Publication House under the theme ‘Youth and Climate Change’ while recognising the need to engage young people in combating climate change issues.  

Born and raised in Nagaland, Dr. Robert Mizo holds a Ph.D from the University of Delhi, where he dealt with ‘Climate Change: Perspectives, Policies and Challenges for India and China’ in his thesis. Prior to this, he also pursued ‘Environmental Security: India and the Challenge of Global Warming’ for his M. Phil Degree.  

Dr. Robert Mizo also received a certificate course in ‘Dealing with Climate Change Impacts’ from the Potsdam Institute Climate Impact Research, Germany this year and is meanwhile pursuing Online Courses on “Age of Sustainability by Jeffrey D Sachs” from Columbia University and “Climate Change Leadership” from Uppsala University, Sweden.  

A press release informed that during the talk, Farmer-Entrepreneur Rekha Rose Dukru will also give a brief insight into the issue from a farmer's perspective while Chief Traveler of India Trail, Rohan Abraham will chair the programme.
