KOHIMA, APRIL 26 (MExN): The Medical Committee, Baptist College, Kohima in collaboration with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized ‘A Talk on Mental Health Awareness Among Youths: Battling Anxiety and Depression’ on April 25 at Rivenburgs Memorial Hall, Kohima.

Talking on the topic, resource person Ruokuotuonuo Rutsa, Clinical Psychologist & Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Nagaland University, emphasized on the need for creating awareness about mental health among the youths and how it should not be ignored.

She said there are a number of measures one can take to manage, and navigate depression and anxiety like making small changes to one’s daily routine, diet, lifestyle habits, speaking with a therapist or other healthcare professional about their symptoms and starting early treatment.

She also highlighted the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Dr S K Pandey, member, medical committee, BCK.

Dr Kekuchol Pusa, principal & Chairman IQAC, Baptist College delivered welcome address while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Sentinaro, Convenor, medical committee.
