The Kohima DLSA in collaboration with Doordarshan Kendra, Kohima held a talk/discussion on Right to Education Act, 2009 at Dordarshan Kendra, Kohima on September 24as part of the monthly legal awareness activity. The panelists were Apila Sangtam, Mecheite U Kenye and Asenla Longkumer. The discussion covered on the importance of RTE Act, basic features of RTE, Amendment in the constitution, Reservation, curriculum and evaluation system at the state level and several other provisions directed to the state under RTE Act.
