Tamlu Block sensitized on NSRLM schemes

Longleng, February 12 (MExN): Two-day awareness programme organized by Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Tamlu Block, Longleng District was held on February 6 and 7 in Tamlu and Bura Namasang villages respectively.


The programme was held with an objective to sensitize the general public and the women community in particular about the various schemes and programme of the mission and convergence with other government agencies.


ADPM Bendangmongba spoke gave an introduction on Financial Inclusion Mela. Resource person Enyei Phom, Block Coordinator, Social welfare Department dwelt on the facilities under PMMVY and various benefits under Social Welfare Department. Metyong Phom, ICTC counselor PHC, Tamlu highlighted on the benefits under Ayushman Bharat (BMJY), JSY and JSSK.


C Henchem Phom, Center Administrator Sakhi One Stop Center encouraged the women to come out of their comfort zone to voice for their dignity, self-respect and to fight against the dictates that undermine their rights as a human being.


Advocate P Monyei Phom, Panel Lawyer, Longleng District Legal Services Authority, spoke about protection of women from domestic violence and right to legal aid and how the DLSA aides the under privileged to avail justice. 
District coordinator Financial Inclusion (DC-FI) highlighted on Bank linkage, social security schemes and pension and advantages of the Digital Indian Project.
