Dimapur, September 26 (MExN): Tarun Bajaj has taken over as Executive Director of Northern Region Transmission System – II (NRTS-II) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited in Jammu. In his new assignment, he will oversee the construction, operation, and maintenance of all central transmission projects in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, parts of Haryana, and the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Chandigarh, according to a press release from the corporation. Bajaj is currently serving as Executive Director (NRTS-I) in Faridabad and has previously held the position of Executive Director (SRTS-II) at POWERGRID in Bengaluru, it informed.
With over 35 years of experience in the power transmission and distribution sector in India, he joined NHPC in 1989 as an engineer and was later absorbed into POWERGRID in 1991, it added. The release noted that Bajaj has extensive expertise in the power transmission and distribution sector, including EHV transmission asset management, design and engineering, project management and execution, as well as finance and commercial functions. He has served in various technical and senior administrative roles and has also undertaken prestigious international consultancy assignments abroad.
