Kohima, April 7 (MExN): Tasar silkworm rearing has been introduced for the first time at Kijümetouma village under Kohima district as part of efforts to promote rural livelihoods.
The initiative, launched on April 7, currently involves ten beneficiaries from the village.
District Sericulture Officer Kohima, Vilhousienuo Khro, along with technical staff, supervised and assisted in shifting the silkworms for outdoor rearing.
The programme aims to expand sericulture activities in the district and create income opportunities for local farmers.
