Tata Trusts sponsors training for widows in Nagaland

Dimapur, January 17 (MExN): A special training for widows, fully sponsored by Tata Trusts was inaugurated by District Welfare Officer Dimapur Tosheli Sema on January 17 at Pinnacle Skills, Dimapur.  

Under this, the widows will be imparted a three month training program on cutting and tailoring. The trainees will receive a stipend of Rs 1,500 per month. After training, the widows will be given a sewing machine and certificate.  

Speaking at the inauguration programme as chief guest, Tosheli appreciated the unique opportunity given to widows. She mentioned that besides getting trained, widows can also use the opportunity to make new friends. She asked the widows to also take benefit of the Government pension scheme for widows.  

A press release stated that earlier, Director, Aloino centre and Chaplain Central Jail Dimapur Anshley Sumi offered the prayer. Chief Executive of Pinnacle Skills Dr. Yan Murry gave a project overview. Executive Director of Pinnacle Skills Jenny Haining Murry gave the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Assistant Manager Training, Ajung Jamir. CDPO Dimapur (Urban) Asangla Jamir also attended the programme.
