TUENSANG, JUNE 2 (MExN): The Tuensang Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TCCI) has condemned the alleged ‘brutal murder’ of one of its member, Hasnul Hague in Noklak on May 28. He was running a small pan shop in Tuensang town before he left for Noklak in the pursuit of more business opportunities, it said.
A press note issued by the TCCI president Ebasola I Chang said late Hague lost his life during this pursuit, leaving behind a grieving wife and three young children.
Stating that human life is invaluable and irreplaceable, the TCCI said as a society, we must uphold the highest standards of human dignity and respect. It stated that allowing such heinous acts to go unchecked threatens the very fabric of our community. It said such atrocities should not befall anyone, regardless of their origin or status.
The TCCI has urged the authorities to take immediate and stringent action against the perpetrators of this horrific crime. Justice must be served swiftly and decisively to ensure that such barbaric acts do not recur. The safety and security of every individual, local or non-local must be guaranteed, it added.
