Arunachal Pradesh, July 17 (MExN): The Tirap-Changlang & Longding Peoples Forum (TCLPeF) has strongly condemned the killing of two unarmed NSCN (IM) cadres at the residence of Deputy Village Chief at Senua Noksa village of Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh on July 12. A press statement issued by the President, TCLPeF said “since the two victims voluntarily came in the residence of the Deputy Chief as per request of the two decoys, the incident could have been averted. The Assam Rifles should have arrested the victims in person and handed over to the Civil Police.” The release strongly condemned the motive behind killing of unarmed members as “cold blooded murder". If such kind of killing/murder continue between factions and Assam Rifles personnel, the peace process initiated by the Government of India and NSCN(lM) will be affected, it said. Such incident creates tension among the peace loving people of Tirap, Changlang & Longding region. The forum ha also appealed all the factions and Assam Rifles personnel to maintain peace & tranquility in the region.
