
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 27 (MExN): The Tirap Changlang & Longding Peoples Forum (TCLPF) today urged both the Government of India and the Naga political groups to resolve the Indo-Naga political solution at an earliest to bring permanent & lasting peace in the three districts of the TCL region of Arunachal Pradesh.
“We appreciate the Government of India and the negotiators for working hard to resolves the Naga issue within the deadline time period. So, we appeal both the talk groups and Government of India to explore all means to achieve an honourable and amicable solution to the decades old issue and hope that the issue would be expedited and a historic solution would be witnesses soon," a press release from the TCLPF stated.
The forum reminded that “many families in Tirap-Changlang & Longding (TCL) districts have lost their dear and near one due to conflict between India security forces and the Naga Political Groups.” “We don't want no more confrontation & fighting between the groups, no more bloodshed in our TCL area,” it appealed.
“If there is to be peace in the world, there must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, there must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, there must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, there must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, there must be peace in the heart,” the forum stated.
“Our innocent brothers are beaten by security forces and Naga political groups without any reason. Recently one person has been shot death by security forces and many of them have been hospitalize in recent days,” the forum further stated.
