
Kohima, November 9 (MExN): The nomenclature of the Tenyimi Central Union (TCU) has been changed to that of the Tenyimi People Organization (TPO) with effect from November 5, 2008. This was figured in the resolution adopted at the 16th general conference of the Tenyimi Central Union held at Maram Khullen on November 5 last. In this regard, the house has approved for the necessary amendment of the constitution and empowered the Executive Council to work out the necessary amendment of the constitution in view of the change of nomenclature.
Besides approving the Audit report submitted by the Audit Committee, the house accepted the recommendation submitted to the house by the Search Committee headed by Convenor Kegwanyi Lorin, President of the Rengma Hoho, and unanimously selected the following new Office Bearers of the Tenyimi People Organization for the tenure 2008-2013:
