Soyem Sangya FC and Tuensang Village Sports Foundation (TVSF) strengthened their unbeaten streaks with commanding victories on Matchday 4 of the TDFA League, topping the table after two rounds of play.
In Match No. 7, Soyem Sangya FC claimed a confident 4-1 win over Auyang FC in a match that briefly looked competitive but tilted heavily in Soyem’sfavor after halftime.
Yongkong opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a precise low finish before Auyang’sChaang Yamen drew level with a curling equalizer in the 25th minute. However, parity was short-lived as Meren struck just four minutes later, restoring the lead before halftime.
Soyem Sangya capitalized on Auyang’s defensive lapses in the second half, with an own goal in the 49th minute deflating Auyang’s hopes. Four minutes later, Chang Lamba capped the scoring, finishing off a sweeping team move to secure the win. Meren, with a goal and tireless flanking play, was awarded Man of the Match.
In the final fixture of the day, Match No. 8 saw TVSF unleash a footballing spectacle, thrashing Fusion FC 15-0 in the most one-sided game of the league so far. S. Ayenmongba delivered a record-breaking eight-goal performance, scoring in the 3rd, 10th, 24th, 50th, 53rd, 55th, 75th, and 89th minutes. The forward’s clinical finishing left no room for a Fusion comeback, whose defense crumbled under sustained pressure.

TVSF’s attacking unit was relentless. Bapen struck twice in the 35th and 39th minute, Naset added a brace (20’, 61’), Yongkong joined the scoring spree in the 47th minute, while Manchem (67’) and Sochang (70’) also found the net. At the heart of TVSF’s dominance was midfielder Yongkong Yemba, who orchestrated the rhythm of the game from deep and registered multiple assists in a near-perfect midfield performance. Ayenmongba, unsurprisingly, was named Man of the Match.
T. Longlang Luckpan, District Welfare Officer, Tuensang, graced the match as patron for the second game, adding an official presence and encouragement to the young players. His attendance was acknowledged warmly by both teams and the organizing committee
With two wins in two games, TVSF and SoyemSangya FC now sit atop the table with maximum points. For Auyang FC and Fusion FC, both still winless, the road ahead looks challenging.
Up next, all eyes will be on the clash between the top two unbeaten sides, TVSF and SoyemSangya FC, a fixture that promises fireworks and potential title implications early in the league.
