Tuensang, August 21 (MExN): TTuensang District Legal Service Authority (TDLSA) organised one day workshop training for DBs and GBs of Longkhim and Chare (customary court) on August 16.
Victo Sema, Principal, District & Session Judge and Chairman, TDLSA deliberated on customary functions and their powers and duties as per the Nagaland Village Council Act, 1978 and to regulate their duties and functions within the village jurisdiction, a release stated.
Soteth Anar , Panel lawyer spoke on VDB model rules and their composition and functions.
Antimangyang, Retainer lawyer spoke on women’s right and special provisions provided by the constitution of India.
Yimtsusangla, Project Assistant spoke on various topics such as child rights issues. She highlighted on child labour, child marriage and also spoke on Protection of children from Sexual Offence Act (POSCO) 2012.
Around 100 members participated in the workshop.
