Teacher Educators trained on ‘constructivist lesson’

Faculty members from all Teacher Education colleges with resource persons after the workshop held at Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima.
Kohima, February 1 (MExN): A two-day State Level Workshop on ‘Constructivist Lesson Planning for Teacher Educators’ was organized at Modern Institute of Teacher Education Kohima from January 31 to February 1 where faculty members from all Teacher Education colleges participated.
The workshop was a follow up of the ‘Two-day State Level Workshop on Constructivism for Teacher Educators ‘previously organized by SCTE, Kohima on November 18-19, 2019, stated a press release from Principal Dr Devanand Sinha.
The purpose of the workshop was to bring together Teacher Educators from all over Nagaland to brain-storm and deliberate on the 5E lesson plan format under the Constructivist Approach of Teaching-Learning.
Participants engaged in group discussions and detailed planning of sample lessons planned subject wise to come up with a uniform and suitable format for all the B.Ed colleges in Nagaland to be used during the school internship.
Dr Bendangyapangla and Dr Elizabeth from SCTE, Kohima facilitated a session on ‘Micro Skills and Transactional Strategy’ to emphasize the importance of skills required in transacting lessons for student teachers during school internship.
