5thSeptember is the Birthday of our first Vice-President, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was renowned scholar. Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year to honour him. On this day, we honour our teachers too. Teachers help us to become better human beings. They openour eyes to the world. They help us to become responsible citizens of our country. Teacher’s Day draws our attention to the role played by teachers in moulding the future of children. Teachers are our role models. They work very hard to provide us with quality education. We often fail to notice the role they play in forming us into better human beings. On this day, we should take a pledge to always respect our teachers and be obedient to them.
