Teachers’ rationalisation issue: ARSU urges ENSF & USSC to ‘act fast’

Dimapur, April 20 (MExN): The Amahator Range Students' Union (ARSU) today urged the Eastern Naga Students' Federation (ENSF) and  the United Sangtam Students' Conference (USSC) to act without further delay on teachers rationalisation issue as well as shortages of teachers under various government school without further delay.

The union feel dejected with the apex students’ organisations as many government schools are paralysed because "shortage of teachers," the ARSU stated in a press release.

The ARSU further reminded the organisations that the latter’s primary objective must be in education sector rather than other issues as many government schools under their jurisdictions are functioning without proper deployment of teachers, particular those in ARSU area.

The union will not be a mere spectator if the federation did not take action on the said issues, stated ARSU in the release issued by its President, Selikyu T Sangtam and General Secretary Lithrongba Jingru, adding that it would take further steps against ENSF ‘if it fails to do  its duty and deal with the said issue seriously.”

Urging the ENSF & USSC to act fast on the issues, the union expressed hope that as apex students’ organisations would “not compromise about the issue of students at any manner and stand firm for its people.”
