DIMAPUR, April 2 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers' Association (ANSTA) as per Resolution No. 02 dated 10/03/06 taken up during its recent executive meeting at Kohima resolve to submit an ultimatum to the Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of School Education, Kohima, Nagaland.
The ultimatum has been drafted by the association in the demand of granting the two financial up-gradations which has been provided as per the provision of Assured Career Progression (ACP) scheme for employees of Nagaland Government in ToTo described in Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ in completion of 12 and 24 years of regular services.
A release issued by the association has stated that the finance department order No. FIN/ROP/19/2001 dated at Kohima the 23/03/05 on NCP scheme under point No. 1(one) for teachers has being left uncalled and justified.
The association, the release stated, is constraint to articulate that in-spite of repeated representations and official discussions to the concerned departments no positive steps have been taken so far.
“Instead of acknowledging the teachers selfless services rendered in nation building” quoted the release and added that the teachers have been deprived and ‘humiliated’ with ‘Step motherly treatment’.
The association has decided to give the government time till May 2006 to implement the said scheme or it will be compelled to launch a state- wide agitation, the release added.
