Phusachodu, August 25 (MExN): The Additional Director (HoD) of School Education, Wonthongo Tsopoe along with Deputy Director, Lipok Jamir and Statistical Officer, Tsupong visited the SDEO establishment Pfutsero, Government High school, Phusachodu and Zuketsa villages under Phek district on August 23.
The team had a marathon interactive session with the staff of the three establishments.
Interacting with the staff, the HOD said in order to revamp the education system in the state, the year 2016 will be a year of inspection and monitoring. With this, he said the department has constituted a team of officers’ into three groups to visit the SDEOs, DEO, and government schools in all the districts.
The inspection and monitoring will be very strict and will be on surprise or through intimation, he said and therefore directed all the establishments to prepare the progress report and submit to the inspection team.
While exhorting the teachers, the HoD asked all the teaching faculty and staffs to work hard with sincerity and dedication to deliver best education in the government schools. He also asked the teachers to take up teaching on mission mode.
He also opined that working in rural areas is always a challenging task where teachers take the place of parents and they are the only resource person available for the students.
He therefore urged the teachers to understand the value involved in their present posting place throughout the academic session.
Emphasizing on work culture, he said that the directorate office too is directly link to classroom. The office exists because of the existence of teachers and schools for which he shared his vision on strengthening of the directorate office on better delivery system so that the welfare of teachers is taken care.
The HoD sought for healthy competition among schools, SDEO/DEO establishments on good governance. He further called upon the teaching community to do their best and win the trust and confidence of the local populace.
He informed that the department will not tolerate any teacher who deviates from duties and responsibilities in their respective posting places.
He meanwhile appreciated the strong community involvement towards strengthening of education system in the village especially at Phusachodu Government High School under Phek district.
