
Displaced Rengma Nagas in Karbi Anglong queue up to avail medical checkup provided by team from Nagaland.
Dimapur, January 3: Nagaland Alliance for Child Rights (NACR), together with Ripple Livelihood Society, Young’s Club, Peace Channel, and a team of medical practitioners from Dimapur, visited the displaced Rengmas of Karbi Anglong at Santipur, Chowkihola, and Jompha, Karbi Anglong. The team provided clothes, various non-perishable food, and medical aid, said a press release received here. The team also conducted free medical checkup for 109 people at Santipur, 34 people at Chowkihola, and 70 people at Jompha.
In this regard, NACR has expressed deep gratitude to each and every individual, friends, and well wishers for their material and financial assistance. It particularly thanked: Dr. Sukhato Additional Director, Dr. Kevisano Khing, Dr. Ayutho, nurses and technicians, Dr. Phillip Kent, Dr. Kavito Zhimomi, Aba Khing, Rengma Youth Organization Vice President. NACR also acknowledged Elded, Election Officer from Chowkihola Police Station, Karbi Anglong area, for providing security to the team.
NACR has requested all concerned citizens, organizations, churches, and the government to reach out to the affected people unceasingly and particularly appealed the State government to initiate an effective long term solution in promoting peaceful co-existence among the different communities in Karbi Anglong.
