After the discovery of glittering crystals sparked off a ‘diamond rush’ in Wanching, Mon on November 25, the State Government deployed a team of geologists to investigate and determine the same. On November 29, official sources informed that the preliminary findings indicate that the crystals are quartz. After the preliminary test, more samples have reportedly been taken for further investigation. It was also learnt that another team is visiting the site from Tuli, Mokokchung on November 30.
