  Phek, November 8 (MExN): State Monitoring team from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima led by Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, Mission Director National Health Mission (NHM) along with Dr. Atoshe, State Immunization Officer and Senior officials visited Phek on November 7 to monitor Measles-Rubella sessions. The team visited Rukizu and SC Mesulumi village.   “The main objective of their visits was to identify the low coverage pockets and hold community meeting so as to boost up the performance,” stated a press release.   They conducted meeting with the community leaders of Rukizu and Mesulumi village and interacted with the Village Council Chairman (VCC),Village Health Chairman, Village leaders, student bodies, religious leaders, GBs, Anganwadi workers, teachers, ASHAs and ANMs.   The monitoring team after identifying the reasons for non-acceptance such as prophecy and false rumours in social media the state team call upon the community leaders to educate the villagers and continue motivating the resistance families to come forward for MR for the benefit of our children today and for the future generation.
