The Team Metamorphosis organised the International Doctors' Day and the organisation’s 19th Foundation Day at the Hornbill Hotel in Wokha on October 2, with the themed “Serving the Community Together with Dedication,” highlighted the essential role that healthcare professionals play in society.
Dr Zuben Kikon, Chief Medical Officer of Wokha, expressed his gratitude during the proceedings, commending the organising committee for their efforts in hosting the event. He acknowledged the blessings of good health that allowed attendees to gather for this meaningful occasion. Dr Kikon also praised Team Metamorphosis for its remarkable contributions as a pillar of strength and hope within the community over the past 19 years.

In his address, Thungdemo Kyong, President of Team Metamorphosis, reinforced the organisation's commitment to serving the community with dedication. He remarked that for some, a stethoscope is merely a tool; for dedicated doctors, however, it becomes a life-saving instrument. He emphasised that this celebration serves as a poignant reminder of the collective effort required to enhance health services and support those in need.
Dr Atheo Murry also extended his appreciation, recognising the successful celebration of Doctors' Day. Reflecting on his 45 years of service in Wokha, he shared his experiences of working alone for nearly two decades. He recalled the challenges he faced during a time where he was the only doctor in the district, often enduring sleepless nights to ensure patient care.
He then stated, “We are determined to do something for the welfare of the people. Whatever your conscience permits you to do, strive to do good for the community and its patients.”
Dr Murry concluded by noting that the gathering not only honoured the hard work of medical professionals but also reinforced the spirit of collaboration within the community.
