Team Nagaland at the 8th North East Youth Festival held in Gangtok, Sikkim
Gangtok, March 24 (MExN): The Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland participated at the 8th North East Youth Festival, held from March 17 to 20, in Gangtok, Sikkim. It was organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
A contingent of 29 participants and 4 officials represented Nagaland competed in Folk Song, Folk Dance, and the “Know Your North East” Quiz while also taking part in non-competitive adventure activities. Team Nagaland secured 2nd place in the Folk Song competition, 4th place in Folk Dance, and 3rd place in the “Know Your North East” Quiz.
The Department of Youth Resources and Sports congratulated the entire team for their hard work and achievements, which have brought pride to Nagaland, stated a press release issued by Director, YRS, Nagaland.
