With the purpose of reaching out to young people through the medium of sport, the TEAMMATE for the last three months has been conducting sports activities in the 16 Ao Baptist Churches in Dimapur.

The final match was played between Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) and Chumukedima Ao Baptist Church (CABA) on June 3 (Saturday) at Diphupar Local Ground where DABA emerged the winner by scoring three goals against two from CABA.

The most significant highlight of this Church league was the TEAMMATE sharing the gospel and letting young people witness the key moments in the coming together of faith and sports - “initiating out of the box” programme. The moral values through sports were conducted to reach out to the players and also the people who came to witness the matches.

“TEAMMATE shared to the players and spectators how to really showcase our faith. It was a sports programme where the TEAMMATE shared that when you choose what is right, you will always glorify God. It was a time where people were made aware and taught to be patient, to positively face hurdles and overcome in their lives,” a member of the TEAMMATE shared.
