Kohima, April 4 (MExN): The Department of Technical Education organised a felicitation programme in honour of Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba at the Directorate Auditorium, Kohima on April 3.
The Advisor stressed on the importance of technical education in the State and its vital role in creating employability opportunities for diploma pPass-out students. He urged the Department to apply critical thought processes in planning and execution of various program to achieve larger goals. Further, he reminded the Department to focus more on Research & Development, placement of students and partnering with private players.
A DIPR report stated that Director, Technical Education, Er Vipulhou Lhoungu highlighted the various activities and programs of the Department.
The programme was chaired by Commissioner & Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Kenilo Apon, IAS while vote of thanks was proposed by Additional Director, Tiakaba Amer. The programme was attended by Joint Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Principals of the Polytechnics and the officers & staff from the Directorate of Technical Education.
