Tenth ‘Bridge of Hope’ project inaugurated

Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): A new ‘Bridge of Hope’ project under Dimapur was inaugurated at Ekranipathar village on February 15 by Rev. Fr. Kasthang Kath, Zonal Secretary, Believers Church Nagaland as the chief guest. With the inauguration of this project, the number of BOH project under Nagaland office has increased to ten and number of children sponsored 1350.   The guest of honour on the occasion was Meren Ao, Chairman, Ekranipathar Village. The chief guest in his speech shared about the ministry of BOH which is aimed at imparting holistic and balanced education to under privileged children by offering free tuition besides nutritious meal daily and school aids for the sponsored children so they don’t drop out of school. He also said in order to raise good citizen of society, we have to train them when they are still young. “If we don’t care for the children’s education, a school dropout child can be a menace for our society and disturb the peaceful atmosphere,” he added.  

The guest of honour thanked the ministry of Believers Church and its leaders for opening a new branch of its project in the village and hoped that the new project can lead people to know God. He hoped that the project will not only help the villagers, but also bring unity among neighbouring village when children gather in the project. Stating that today, many churches concentrate for the benefit of its community and family, he encouraged the project to work for the welfare of all communities. On behalf of the village council, he also promised to extent full co-operation and help for strengthening the project for the benefit of the children.   The programme was attended by Ekranipathar Village Council members, Believers Church leaders, villagers, parents and well wishers.
