Tetso College organises 9th edition of CoMFIESTA

The 9th edition of CoMFIESTA overall championship was bagged by Tetso College.

Chümoukedima, October 20 (MExN): Tetso College, Nagaland held its 9th edition of CoMFIESTA with the Nagaland Esports Society as its title sponsor its Sovima campus on October 18. CoMFIESTA, which is a National Level Fest brought together over 500 plus attendees from various institutions across the country.

The participating institutions were Dimapur Government College, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), City College of Arts and commerce, Patkai Christian College (autonomous), C-Edge College, Pranab College, Unity College, Greenwood Higher Secondary School, The Assam Kaziranga University (Jorhat), Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College (Tamil Nadu) and Tetso College.

A press release received here stated that the attendees were welcomed by Dr Rajesh Tanti, Assistant HOD, Department of Management. In the keynote address Dr Hewasa L Khing, Principal of Tetso College emphasised the significance of empowerment through collaboration, urging students to support one another in their journey toward lifelong excellence. She highlighted the vital role that commerce and management play in contributing to the national workforce, advocating for a balanced approach that embraces both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. 

A book titled Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customs Duty authored by Dr Amar Ranjan Dey, Vice Principal, Tetso College was also released during the event. Kakivi Chishi, Vice-President of Nagaland Esports Society remarked on the rapidly growing gaming industry, emphasizing the legitimate career opportunities available in this sector.

This year’s festival featured an engaging array of competitions including viz, Dramatisement, Business Talkathon, Prove the Mettle! Win the Battle!, Contrakeenos, Vignette-Business Reels, CoMFIESTA’s Got Talent, BGMI and Mobile legends. 

The event culminated with an awards ceremony. The winners included St Joseph’s College (Autonomous) in the Dramatisement, Priya Pariyar from Dimapur Government College was the winner for Best Speaker (Against the Motion) in the Business Talkathon, for Prove the Mettle! Win the Battle, the winners were Edirenla (St Joseph College, Autonomous), Lemba Cholen (St Joseph College, Autonomous) and Ineikam (Tetso College) for Contrakeenos, Unity College was the winning team, William Sitthom from Tetso College was the winner for Vignette-Business Reels Competition, and C- Edge College was the winner for CoMFIESTa’s Got Talent. In the eSports category, Tetso College won in Mobile Legends, while Greenwood Hr Sec School won the chicken dinner for BGMI. 

The overall championship was bagged by Tetso College, whereas, St Joseph College (Autonomous) were the overall runners up with Unity College recognized for its exemplary discipline.
