Champions Thahekhu Knights XI celebrate winning the 3rd Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament.
Chumoükedima, January 21 (MExN): Thahekhu Knights XI beat Brothers XI to emerge as the champions of the 3rd Unity Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament which concluded at the ChumoükedimaLocal Ground on Saturday.
The tournament, which was held January 10 to 20, was organized by Nepali Baptist Church Chumoükedima, Youth Department Sports Ministry under the theme “Solidarity for peace”.
Man of the final match Ratan scored 52 runs to help Thahekhu Knights beat Brothers XI by 39 runs.
The winning team walked away with cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with running trophy while the runner-up received Rs. 15,000.
Among the individual awards, Subroto Das of Basher’s CC was named the best bowler while Liton Das was adjudged the best batsman. Peter of Thahekhu Knights XI was awarded player of the tournament.
Altogether 16 teams took part in the tournament.
