Dimapur | March 15
More than sixty-five years ago, Late Hejeto and Late Honije along with 17 households migrated out of Viyilho village and set out into the wilderness in search of free land where they could make their new home.
Along with their followers, they spent days and nights in the thickly forested jungles of Thetsumi, Ghokhuvi, Mutsalimi, Lachepumi, Sendenyu, Thevukrie villages during the month of March 1950 in search of a new area. In their search for shelter, they had to pass through and rest in the jungles of certain villages, which fined them for trespassing their territory. When they reached Thevukrie on March 18, 1950, Late Thahekhu was already in that village. This is where the trio met but parted ways in search of new land.
