Thai delegation in Nagaland to study business potential

DIMAPUR, MARCH 7 (MExN): A delegation of four Thai Government officials from the Department of Business Development, Government of Thailand along with sixteen delegates from Import-Export and Logistic business Companies of Thailand accompanied by an official of the Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi visited Nagaland on March 7.  

The Thai business delegation travelling by road via Myanmar are on a tour to study and tap the trade potentials of the upcoming 3200 Kms India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway designed to bridge the emerging economies of North East India, Myanmar and Thailand.  

A business meeting of the visiting Thai business delegates with the local entrepreneurs and business houses from the State was organized and held on March 7 at Hotel Vivor, Kohima. The Director Industries and Commerce, Bendangliba while welcoming the Thai delegates expressed hope that the meeting would be the opener for future business and trade ties between the business houses of Thailand and local business houses.
