Thanksgiving prayer for creation of Meluri District on November 3

The Pochury Hoho (PH) has appealed every individual, churches, irrespective of denomination and location to set November 3 as “Thanksgiving prayer for creation of Meluri district.”

“In His perfect timing, God has worked miracles and accomplished amazing things for us, answering our prayers and making our dreams come true. As the people of Israel gave a great shout of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, let us all come together as one and give thanks to our Almighty God for what He has done for us, stated PH president Chonpa Jurry in a letter address to District Superintendent, UPCI SEND, Executive Secretary PBCC, Executive Secretary PC- NCRC, Field Chairman UPCN and President PCA.

Among the prayer points includes; praise and give thanks to Almighty God, Chief Minister and his Cabinet ministers, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, MLA & Advisor, N&RE, NSDMA, thank God for “our leaders: Pochury Hoho and all the Frontal CSOs and for Pochury Public “Pray for the unity and love among our people. Pray that we will be able to shine for His glory.”

In a separate release, in conjunction with the thanksgiving prayer day, the NDPP 20th Meluri A/C stated “On this momentous occasion, we, the Office of the 20th A/C Meluri, are filled with profound joy and gratitude as we celebrate reaching this historic milestone.”

Recognizing the dedication and relentless efforts that have brought about this significant achievement, we graciously invite all churches within the newly created Meluri District to offer a special prayer of thanksgiving during their Sunday devotional service on November 3, 2024, marking this historic milestone, it stated.

“We propose the following prayer points: 1. Pray for our Hon'ble Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers who supported the creation of Meluri District, asking for God's blessings of good health, sound judgment, and long lives for their continued leadership. 2. Pray for K.G. Kenye, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs and Ministerial-in-Charge of Phek District, for his selfless contributions toward this cause, asking for wisdom, strength, and good health to lead and foster the development of Naga society.”

It also requested to offer prayers for the well-being and longevity of Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, MLA & Advisor, N&RE, NSDMA that “he may continue to guide and contribute to the progress of our new district and the advancement of Naga society.”

Remember and honour the tireless efforts of all individuals and dignitaries who sacrificed their time and energy to achieve this milestone, praying that their contributions be richly blessed.

Pray for continued peace, love, and unity among the Pochury people, fostering a strong and harmonious community.

“In the spirit of thankfulness, let us come together in prayer and celebrate this milestone with hearts full of joy and gratitude,” it added.
