Thanksgiving service for NLA Speaker

A thanksgiving cum felicitation programme for Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Speaker Er. Vikho-o Yhoshu took place here today at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.  

Er. Yhoshu was elected to the 13th NLA on Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) ticket from 14th Southern Angami-I Assembly Constituency.  

Speaking on the occasion, he expressed gratitude to the electorate of 14th Southern Angami-I A/C for reposing their faith in his leadership and getting him elected to represent the people of the constituency.  

He looked forward to continuous support from each and every individual to carry forward the task of developmental and welfare related activities.  

Yhoshu called upon the people to stand united and put collective effort to bring transformation in the society. He also urged upon the people to share their views and suggestions for inclusive development within the constituency.  

The NLA Speaker announced that his foremost priority will be on providing good roads to the people of the constituency.  

On human development, he assured to give his best effort to bring about overall development of the community and asked the villages concerned to come forward with their respective community oriented projects.  

He also assured to take up skill development programmes for educated unemployed youth.  

Further, the NLA Speaker promised that he will try his best to deliver justice to the people.  

Avio Tetseo, president NDPP Kohima region thanked the electorate for the success of four NDPP candidates under Kohima district.  

He also requested the people to continue to extend their support to the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government for all round development of the state.  

As promised in the manifesto, he stated, the PDA government will live up to the principle of good governance and transparency.  

Vilelie Khamo and Dr. Vilhousa Seleyi also spoke in the programme, while Zapu-o Zhasa spoke on behalf of Kigwema village.   MLAs Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire and Er. Zale Neikha were also present at the programme.
