The thanksgiving service of ULB elected councillor Thenusou Sekhose Yhome from Ward 6 (D.Block) under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was held today at D. Block Panchayat Hall, Kohima. Thenusou was elected to KMC in the recent ULB Election 2024 on Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) party ticket.
“This journey is a new venture for me and I urge everyone to guide me in my journey,” Yhome said while speaking at the programme. This journey will be a very challenging time for me, she said and urged everyone to guide her and work together for the welfare and betterment of the colony.
Nagaland Horticulture & Women Resource Development Minister, Salhoutuonuo Kruse congratulated the later for winning the election.
Kruse was confident that Thenusou would bring changes to the colony.
NDPP Kohima Region president, Prasielie Pienyu, D.Block Panchayat ex-treasure Lhoulalie Zumu and Pelekhinuo Shunyü of D Block NDPP unit also spoke at the programme while Ruokuoselhou James Yhome spoke on behalf of the family.
The programme was led by Myinthungo Mozhui while Kevi Vizo, Chairman, D. Block Panchayat delivered welcome address. Vote of thanks was proposed by Vazhümo Solo.
