The 208th edition of Bhanu Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Nepali Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya was celebrated at Chümoukedima Town hall on Saturday. It was organized by Chümoukedima Gorkha Union and Chümoukedima Gorkha Youth. Gorkha students of Chümoukedima who have attained meritorious HSLC and HSSLC and in graduate Level were felicitated on the occasion. Also traditional events including band performance by the Gorkha bands of Chümoukedima Namely Yatra Band, Sanskriti Band, Itihas Band & Six Strings were presented.
