Being a youth of land of festival, I would like to share my view on the prevailing situation of our society. In today’s Nagaland people are really greedy for money; we think they are the ones who pour money on us i.e. the politicians. We put them up but do they look back at us. Are they developing our land? Do they fight for us? If I’m not mistaken, not all but almost neglect us today. They go for their luxurious SUV and sedan, their luxurious bungalows and not forgetting their uncountable purchase of land. Well let me ask you something, when a department gives out 100 to our representatives MLAs or ministers for the concern department, do they give us the same amount? Is that money for the people or for himself or herself? We were driven by their sweet proclamations giving ample assurance about the interest of the people but t we are left to bear pains under their powers. Oh! I forget that they are very good at telling that stuffs. Today it’s surprising but true; in many parts of Nagaland we don’t even get 50%.
What do we think??? Is this going on well?? This major factor is really affecting our land, even teaching the younger generation how to screw people and themselves. Why can’t we Nagas go for the capable ones? Let’s think for the betterment of the future, elect the one who has the power to lead us not the ones who uses us. Let’s choose the one who is capable to sit on the floor with us, who think for our change, who has the guts to stand and fight for us, not the ones who goes around with their luxurious SUV or Sedan with number of guards around them, while they even don’t look down at us. The choice is ours. Choices are meant to be made not to be suggested.
I hope and pray that we Nagas opt for the better and the capable ones in the upcoming election. Let’s make a better place for us and the entire Naga race.
