The Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland, felicitated 31 meritorious Pencak Silat athletes among 151 sportspersons from various disciplines with cash awards on the occasion of National Sports Day held at IG Stadium, Kohima on August 29. While thanking Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr Neiphiu Rio, MLA and Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung and Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, the Nagaland Pencak Silat Association said the recognition of 31 Pencak Silat serves both as a reward for their dedication and a motivation for the entire sporting fraternity to strive for greater excellence. It reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent, upholding sportsmanship, and contributing to the growth of sports in Nagaland.
