‘The Hornbill Warrior’ released in Lotha & Ao dialect

DIMAPUR, MAY 19 (MExN): HECS children's book on Nagaland 'The Hornbill Warrior' in the Lotha and the Ao dialects were released by Dr Shashi Tharoor, Lok Sabha MP and Author and Dr Sanjeev Chopra, Retd IAS and Author on  May 16 at Kamladevi Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.

The Hornbill Warrior is a story-cum-colouring book that brings out the heritage and culture of Nagaland as discovered through the eyes of a young girl from Nagaland. INTACH's Heritage Education and Communication (HECS) Division with the support of INTACH Nagaland Chapter is undertaking the translation of this book into 5 Naga languages to increase its reach as well as to promote the preservation of endangered languages. 

Informing this, INTACH Nagaland Chapter in a press release expressed gratitude to its State Convener Sentila T. Yanger and the team of translators namely Mefutiba (Retd) Principal Higher Education and Co-Convener INTACH Nagaland Chapter and Lily Kikon for their efforts and support.
