Kekhrie Krotho Khuzuma today organized The Khuzama Experience billed as “Walking the Ancient Path" at Khuzama in Kohima district.

Addressing the inaugural function held at Khuzama Panchayat Hall, Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) Project Director Dr Hovithal Sothu expressed happiness over the event, which highlighted the positive impact of tourism industry in the village. He maintained that this initiative also symbolised unity within the community.

Dr Sothu also talked on the importance of self-sufficiency and urged the individuals to explore diverse opportunities beyond government jobs.

On the viable prospects of Khuzama in tourism industry, he called upon the people to promote the same, adding that tourism sector has potential to generate employment for youths.

Chief Event Manager, Nunese Sale said that “The Khuzama Experience” was marked by a breathtaking walk to the ancient path, which holds momentous place in Khuzama's history.

Zakiehol Lüho, oldest person in Khuzama, pronounced blessings upon the monolith which was donated by Nunese Sale. Welcome address was delivered by Khuzama Village Council chairman Dil Naleo.

The inaugural programme was followed by “The Khuzama Experience” walk where people proceed to Thukhrezhare (Known as the garden of the forest), Ezakho (Biggest decision making spot where only elder men are allowed), Rikhoba (view point), Khüphito (A place where devil come and hit their head), Hibo Museum (Largest pottery collection in Nagaland and location of the oldest house belonging to Kemevo-o) and Osa Mountain (One can see 18 villages from this including Manipur).
This event was managed by Kekhrie Krotho in collaboration with TaFMA and Nagaland Tourism.
