Kamala Harris has found a place in the history book as the first woman to serve as the Vice-President of the United States of America (US) and also the second woman to become a US presidential candidate representing a major political party. This all was in itself an unprecedented demonstration of the current place of women in American politics since American women got their right to vote in 1920. It should be mighty strange to note that the women folk in one of the world’s oldest democratic countries have to wait for 144 years after its founding to get their due right to participate in the country’s democratic process. The events vis-à-vis the 2024 US Presidential Election that had unfolded had placed the women to a new height in American politics.
But Kamala Harris will be best remembered by history as a presidential candidate who was entirely created by the elite Washington establishment as a desperate last-minute attempt to sabotage an inevitable and people-based popular movement to bring President Donald Trump back to the White House. The Washington establishment, which includes those Republican-In-Names-Only (RINOs), had seen Kamala Harris as the only possible option who could reverse the prospect of Donald Trump’s second presidency so much so that the Democratic Party didn’t mind overturning the mandate of the Party’s primary voters and replacing Joe Biden, who was already voted by the Democratic Party primary voters to be their official nominee for the President. In the process, Kamala Harris, by becoming a presidential candidate for the Democratic Party, had created history to be remembered as the one who stole the mandate of the Democratic primary voters.
It was the highest level of threat to democracy posed by the Democratic Party as the Party establishment was forced to replace an official nominee of primary voters, voted through the legal political process, by a person who did not win any single primary election. The only time that Kamala Harris sought a presidential nomination was in 2020 which was only disastrous as she had to withdraw from the race for nomination months before even a single primary vote was cast. The 2024 US Presidential Election became so muddy, devoid of legal democratic process, thanks to the Democratic Party’s successful effort to undermine its primary voters to implant a person, who was never mandated by the people, as their official party nominee for the Presidency.
Kamala Harris will also be remembered by history as the one under whose leadership the Democratic Party had lost everything that was contested in the 2024 election. Apart from losing the presidential Electoral College in a landslide margin, she also lost the presidential popular vote while at the same time the Democratic Party lost majorities in both the Houses of Congress (Senate and the House of Representatives). The Party also lost 8 of the 11 gubernatorial elections that were contested in November 2024. This robust mandate will give Donald Trump and his team to push forward his conservative, America First and anti-globalist agendas without much political obstruction in his second presidency.
Joe Biden today should be the most relieved man as Kamala had taken over all the burden of his failed and unpopular presidency and let Kamala face the wrath of the people on his behalf. Kamala’s defeat was a sort of a vindication for Joe Biden who was ready to face the people only to be forced out by his party establishment in Washington. The 2024 election had given a historic passage for Joe Biden to end his presidency on a high and winning note as the dramatic last-minute reversal of his fate had made him avert the sure prospect of facing a humiliating defeat at the hand of President Donald Trump. History will remember Joe Biden as the only person (among those who faced Donald Trump) who was never defeated by near undefeatable and ‘always-winner’ Donald Trump.
The total defeat of the Democratic Party in the 2024 election was at all levels a vindication of the popular conservative movement against the radical leftward drift that not only America but the world at large experience under the Biden Presidency. Promotion of open border policy, Wokeism, weaponization of judiciary, unlimited concentration of power to the Washington elites and gender confusion all definitely did not have the mandate of the general populace.
Among the first executive orders that Joe Biden signed on the day of his inauguration on January 20, 2021, was the formal approval of the right of the transgender man to use women’s washrooms on the guise of “preventing and combating discrimination on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation”. This act of promoting gender confusion in America was further pushed forward by the Biden Administration to permit transgender men to participate in women’s sports seriously undermining the rights of women. The Democratic Party is ignoring the simple hard fact that transgender men are simply confused men claiming to be women who need to be treated and counselled, and not to be empowered. Promoting gender clarity, affirming man as man and woman as woman, defending women’s sports by preventing men from participating in the same and counselling a confused man and woman do not constitute discrimination based on gender. This position of gender clarity and outright rejection of gender confusion was the hallmark verdict of the 2024 US Presidential Election.
The defeat of Kamala Harris should also permanently put an end to the so-called Obama Coalition in American Politics. Barack Obama should reconciled to the fact that he had already served out his term and that America and the world had already put his presidency behind him rather than trying to remain himself relevant and keep pushing his radical left agendas which America has firmly rejected.
It’s time for Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to retire and make way for the Democratic Party to find a new generation of leadership who would be more people’s friendly and who can confront the radical left elements in America keeping in mind the best interest of America and the world.
