Nagaland Tourism and Higher Education Minister Temjen Imna Along inaugurated The Mirage Hotel in Kohima on April 22. It is located at Razhü Point, opposite Axis Bank.

In his address, the Minister emphasized the growing need for quality hospitality infrastructure to promote tourism and generate employment for local youth. He commended the efforts behind The Mirage, calling it “a milestone in Kohima’s hospitality journey.”

“The Mirage is not just a hotel—it is a reflection of vision, belief, and hard work,” he said. He commended the state government's continuous efforts under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to ensure good governance and sustainable development, including infrastructure that supports tourism and entrepreneurship.

The program started with an invocation prayer by Kezhaletuo Yano, Associate Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Kohima. The event was chaired by Thejangulie Tsükrü, Partner of The Mirage Group, who shared insights into the hotel’s inception and progress. The Construction began on August 5, 2023, and was completed by November 2024.

Trial operations were conducted during the Hornbill Festival 2024, allowing the team to gather guest feedback and fine-tune their services.

Currently, The Mirage Hotel employs 28 individuals 90% of whom are locals. The management also brought in industry professionals to train the staff and elevate service standards to match national expectations.

“The Mirage is more than just a hotel, it is a symbol of collaboration, persistence, and belief in the potential of our people and place,” Tsükrü remarked.

Designed with a blend of modern elegance and local aesthetics, the hotel includes a restaurant.
