The Chief Veterinary Office Liquid Nitrogen Plant located at “0” Point, Vankhosung, Wokha, was reportedly targeted by theft and vandalism on the night of March 3.
According to an official, the incident involved the theft of electrical wiring and significant property damage.
Chief Veterinary Officer Zubemo Humtsoe noted that there were no signs of forced entry, and suggested that the intruder(s) may have accessed the facility through the ceiling.
While the wiring was stolen and the electrification system damaged, the computers in the room remained untouched.
An FIR has been filed at Wokha Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
