Winners of MYO 49th Naga wrestling meet with dignitaries.

The Mezoma Youth Organisation (MYO) today conducted its 49th Naga wrestling cum 2nd Belt wrestling meet at Phehinu Local Ground, Mezoma in Kohima district.
In Naga wrestling event, Thejapfütuo Chüsi, son of Lt Cakietuo Chüsi, defeated former champion Keneiselie Khawakhrie in the final. On his way to lift the champion title, Chüsi defeated Kikruvilie Khawakhrie in the semi-finals while he overcame veteran wrestler Vikehiekho Kehie in the pre-quarter.
Kikruvilie Khawakhrie and Ruokuokehie Khawakhrie stood third and fourth position respectively.
The champion Thejapfütuo Chüsi fetched a cash award of Rs 20,000 while runner up Keneiselie Khawakhrie received Rs 15,000. The third and fourth position winners received Rs 10,000 each.
Earlier, Er Lhoubeizo Mere Kesiyie, President, Angami Sports Association (ASA) graced the meet as the special guest.
MYO President, Mhiesilie Rhitso delivered welcome address while MYO Wrestling Secretary, Zasevikho Meyatsu administered oath to the wrestlers.
The programme was chaired by MYO vice-president Vimekhrielie Krose and prayer by Azha Keyho, Pastor, Mezo-Basa. Krudilhou Casavi blessed the new MYO team to be led by Vitseituo Chüsi and Kechavikho Khawakhrie as president and general secretary respectively.
Later, Mezoma Village council chairman Visayieya Chüsi gave away prizes to the winner.
The meet was managed by Nyisenuomia Youth Organisation (NYO).
