Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Government of Nagaland, along with leaders of KSON and other officials at Sirhima Village on December 16.

Dimapur, December 16 (MExN): Nagaland Advisor for Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs Zhaleo Rio on Friday said that there is no substitute for hard work if one is to become a star among competitors.
Addressing the final day of the 30th General Conference of Kuki Students' Organisation Nagaland as special guest, Rio advised the student community to strive with determination and to put God first in all their endeavours while doing away with inferiority complex, negativity, individual shortcomings or lapses, etc.
“Youngsters of Kuki community are blessed with myriad talents and it is time you grab the opportunity, compete with others and excel in your field,” a press release quoted him as saying. He is also said to have stated that there is always the scope to perform better once commitment, discipline and dedication are prioritised towards a goal.
Rio also remarked that the government is giving greater focus on meritocracy wherein the NSSB was introduced in the state to garner quality results and in the same vein, enlightened students to perspire in order to succeed in life, the release stated.
Clarifying a statement on elections where he had earlier noted that “elections will be held with or without a solution on Naga political imbroglio,” the Advisor reportedly enunciated that “if the concerned parties cannot find an acceptable solution before the due date of general election, the centre may definitely announce election processes to be conducted across the state. However, in case of a solution being reached on time, a stop gap arrangement or interim government may take care until official election can be conducted at a later date accordingly,” the release stated.
Rio further requested the Kuki community to work earnestly and join hands with him so that more economic, social and overall development can see the light of day even in future, it added.
The programme was also attended by Alun Hangsing, NCS (Retd), as Guest of Honour during the day long function.
